हिन्दू धर्म में त्योहारों का अपना अलग ही महत्व है | हिन्दू धर्म में मनाये जाने वाले त्यौहार अपने आप में सम्पूर्ण श्रद्धा भक्ति के साथ होते हैं | आज आपको कुछ त्यौहार के बारें में बताते हैं, और उनका क्या महत्व है, यह भी बताते हैं |

1 . मकर सक्रांति :-
मकर सक्रांति हर साल 14 जनवरी को मनाया जाता है | हिन्दू धर्म के लोग इसको मकर सक्रांति कहते हैं, वही दक्षिण भारत में यह त्यौहार पोंगल के रूप में मनाया जाता है | इस त्यौहार के बाद से ही हिन्दुओं का नया साल शुरू हो जाता है | मकर सक्रांति के दिन कई प्रकार के व्यंजन बनाए जाते हैं | यह भारतीयों के लिए बहुत ही महत्व रखता है क्योकि इसके बाद से ही नया साल शुरू होता है |

2 . महाशिवरात्रि :-
अगला त्यौहार महाशिवरात्रि जो फरवरी में आता है | इस त्यौहार में भगवान शंकर की पूजा की जाती है | इस दिन भगवान शिव का विवाह हुआ था, जिसको महाशिवरात्रि के रूप में मनाया जाता है | कहा जाता है, कि महाशिवरात्रि के दिन सुबह जल्दी उठकर स्नान कर के ब्रह्म महूर्त (सुबह 4 बजे ) में शिव जी पर सबसे पहले उनकी पूजा करता है, उनकी हर मनोकामना पूरी होती है |

3 . होली :-
होली का त्यौहार सभी लोग बहुत पसंद करते हैं | होली का त्यौहार भगवान कृष्णा का पसंदीदा त्यौहार है | सबसे ज्यादा होली वृंदावन में खेली जाती है | होली का त्यौहार रंगो के त्यौहार से जाना जाता है | यह त्यौहार अक्सर मार्च के महीने में आता है |

4 . नवरात्री :-
नवरात्री के त्यौहार पूरे नौ दिनों का होता है | इस त्यौहार में पूरे नौ दिन नौ देवियों को पूजा जाता है और कुछ लोग इसका व्रत भी लेते हैं | नवरात्री साल में 2 बार आती है, एक बार अप्रैल में और एक बार अक्टूबर से नवम्बर के बीच में |

5 . रक्षाबंधन :-
रक्षा बंधन भाई और बहन के प्यार का त्यौहार | जैसा कि सभी जानते हैं, कि इस दिन बहन अपने भाई को राखी बांधती है जिसके बदले भाई जीवन भर अपनी बहन की रक्षा करने का वादा करता हैं | इस त्यौहार में सबसे महत्वपूर्ण यह है, कि इस त्यौहार के दिन सूर्य पुत्र यमराज अपनी बहन के घर राखी बंधवाने गए थे | जबकि यम किसी के घर यूँही नहीं जाते वो सिर्फ किसी के प्राण हरने ही जाते हैं |'
